Michael Welch had been facilitating Military Whist since 1987. Before that, he started in the military whist game by assisting the creator of military whist, Willis Lamkin. Mr. Lamkin created this game in the mid 1940's and copy wrote the instructional card that you play with now. It took Mr. Lamkin a long period of time to create the instructional cards. All the cards are handmade and without flaw. It is amazing that he was able to do that in the 1940's without computers and the technology that we have now.

Since Michael's son Kevin was 10 years old he has been going to whist games to help. Kevin has learned the trade of facilitating whist games from the master...his father. Kevin filled in for his father in the spring of 2014 and will be continuing the tradition.
For the 2015- 2016 whist season there are 11 games scheduled for the fall and already 4 games for the spring 2016. We will be traveling to different places in the state; East Haddam, Middletown, Colchester, Cromwell, Wallingford, New Britain, Wethersfield and Newington.
